One place for Idaho's computing & digital literacy conversation
Idaho students live and learn on computing platforms — and AI is only the newest wave. The educators teaching them to code, create, evaluate, and think critically on those platforms are scattered across districts, program areas, and 500 miles of state. AIdaho connects them in one Slack workspace: a place to swap working lesson plans, compare district tech and AI policies, share grant opportunities, and ask the question you can't ask anyone in your building because you're the only one teaching this.

Does it cost anything?
No. Membership is free and always will be. The Slack workspace runs on a volunteer-supported plan.
I'm not a CS teacher — can I join?
Yes. If you're an Idaho educator working anywhere near computing, technology, or digital literacy — any grade level, any subject — you belong here. K-8 teachers are especially welcome.
Is this affiliated with the state, CSTA, or CTEI?
AIdaho is an independent, educator-run community. We happily collaborate with CSTA Idaho, CTEI, IETA, the Idaho STEM ecosystem, and the Idaho Division of Career Technical Education, but we're not an official arm of any of them.
Can vendors join?
Industry partners who want to support Idaho classrooms are welcome. Unsolicited sales pitches get one warning; the community guidelines cover the rest.
